Karen Albright is the owner of BodyLase Skin Spa, a medical spa with two locations in the Triangle. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and University of Connecticut School of Law. After practicing law with a large firm in Connecticut for several years, Karen moved to Raleigh in 1994 with her husband and children. Soon after coming to Raleigh, she taught legal writing at the University of North Carolina School of Law and Duke Law School.
In 2002, Karen opened BodyLase Laser Hair Removal with her husband, Dr. Daniel Albright. Karen has grown and expanded the company into a million dollar business. BodyLase Skin Spa now has two locations and offers a multitude of cosmetic medical and traditional spa services.
In 2009, Karen was received the Women in Business Award by the Triangle Business Journal. In June of 2010, Karen was honored as Business Woman of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners Greater Raleigh Chapter. In 2011 and 2013, Karen was awarded the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Steady Growth and Profitability Award for the success of BodyLase Skin Spa. In 2011, Karen was named a Woman Extraordinaire by Business Leader Magazine. In 2012, Karen received the distinguished Top 50 Entrepreneurs.
She currently resides in North Raleigh with her husband and three children.

Rita is a Licensed Aesthetician and Makeup Artist. She is a native Peruvian and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Rita is certified in the medical benefits of the Obagi skincare system. Rita has years of experience in skincare and cosmetics and she loves to help her clients achieve a beautiful, clear, and radiant complexion. Rita strives to create a positive difference in her clients’ lives through her work. She enjoys traveling, crafting, and most importantly her chosen path in the aesthetic field. Rita takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and achieving amazing results for her clients.
Sarah was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. After attending the University of Tennessee and serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps, she relocated to North Carolina. Upon graduation from the Body Therapy Institute and receiving her Massage and Bodywork Therapy license, Sarah went on to study Esthetics Technology at Miller-Motte College. She is currently working toward her Bachelor’s Degree.
Sarah enjoys being able to combine the administrative and managerial skills she developed in the Marine Corps with her training in the Massage and Esthetics fields in order to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction. She loves seeing guests happy with their services and excited about their results.
Sarah and her husband, Troy, reside in the Raleigh area with their Bernese Mountain Dog, Ziggy, and their guinea pig, Penelope. When not working or furthering her education, Sarah enjoys traveling, live music, extreme sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Brittany has been dedicated to her career at BodyLase since 2008. As the Raleigh Spa Manager, Brittany loves to make sure every client has a wonderful experience while addressing all of their concerns/needs. She feels blessed to be a part of a team who strives for excellence and who builds a positive family spirit. When she is not working, Brittany loves beach weekends on the boat with her husband, traveling near and far, and enjoys hanging out with her little miniature Dachshund, Pickle!
Melissa graduated from Miller-Motte’s Esthetics Technology program in 2008 after moving to North Carolina from her hometown of Annapolis, Maryland. With nearly 10 years
of experience as a Medical Aesthetician, Melissa has a true passion for making clients feel beautiful starting from the inside out. She loves transforming acneic and aging skin by setting up a clear plan
consisting of both in-spa treatments and a proper homecare regimen to achieve excellent results. Some of her favorite treatments to perform are micropeels, dermaplaning and microneedling, all designed for resurfacing and rejuvenating the skin. Melissa and her husband, Ryan, live in Apex with their happily blended family. You can catch them on the weekends attending the volleyball, soccer, lacrosse and basketball games of their 4 children.
Lydia O’Bannon, PA-C
Lydia is an NCCPA board certified Physician Assistant. She was an NCAA Division 1 gymnast at Kent State University and an All-American Scholar Athlete before working in emergency medicine and attending Towson University for her master’s degree. Lydia loves to help people feel confident in themselves and enjoys aesthetic medicine. When she isn’t working, you will likely find her working out or coaching at Black Bolt CrossFit- Cary’s newest CrossFit facility! She loves pushing people to be the best version of themselves in whatever way she can! Lydia enjoys traveling in her spare time.
Julia Pjetraj, NP
Julia is a North Carolina native who lives in Raleigh with her husband and three children. She attended UNC at Chapel Hill, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She practiced as an RN at Rex Healthcare and then returned to UNC where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She worked in the field of Dermatology at Duke and in private practice for several years before discovering the wonderful world of Aesthetics. Julia has been providing aesthetic services such as Botox and dermal fillers at BodyLase® for more than 10 years! She loves working with her clients to help them attain the beautiful results they desire.

Andrea was born in Spain, but has lived in Raleigh for most of her life. In 2015, she joined the BodyLase® team, bringing with her years of Customer Service experience and fluency in both Spanish and English.
Andrea enjoys assisting clients by recommending treatments and products to fit their needs. She not only loves to provide great customer service, but she also loves seeing clients happy with the results BodyLase® helps them achieve.
Kelly is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated with honors from East Carolina University with a double major in political science and history. Immediately following college, Kelly worked as the transitional housing case manager for the Salvation Army Women and Children’s homeless shelter in Charlotte, North Carolina. Although this was meaningful work, Kelly realized that her passion was skincare. She returned to Raleigh and attained her certificate in aesthetics from Miller-Motte College. Because Kelly struggled with acne as a teenager she understands that how a person looks affects how they feel. She is committed to working with each client to help them utilize the services that will help them to look their best in order to feel their best. As the lead aesthetician at BodyLase Skin Spa, Kelly specializes in skin care, personalized facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser hair removal and laser rejuvenation.

Bodylase® welcomed experienced Injection Specialist, Leistey Tindall, NP to the team in 2016. She
graduated from cosmetology school with honors in 2002. Four years later, she earned her degree in Nursing from Gardner Webb. Leistey then graduated from Kaplan University with her BSN in 2009, followed by a master’s degree in Nursing Education in 2012, and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2016. Leistey has over 10 years hands-on experience in hospitals and plastics. She is extensively trained and experienced in facial injectables, such as Botox and Juvederm, and customizes treatments to match her patient’s individual needs. She is truly multi-faceted and passionate about her career and all things aesthetics.
